Folsom Tap House

This was our very first adventure doing Shake and Date. We got a beer and asked for a shot of Fireball each. They don’t serve Fireball, so we ended up with Jack Daniel’s Fire instead…which was warm. We decided to not order off the happy hour menu because we wanted to try the Knock out Nachos (which personally I thought was weird that those weren’t on the happy hour menu). The nachos would have been very tasty had they been a bit warmer. The carnitas we chose for the meat selection was luke-warm at best. Still, not a complete deal breaker for giving it another go.

The clientele however, who clearly were “regulars” left much to be desired. My husband is a very friendly guy, but as much as he tried to engage with others at the bar, they weren’t having it. Not that it was an easy task to join in on their conversations, being as they centered around what current diet they were on, and how their workouts are going at the gym, neither of which are our thing. Overall, no one around us seemed very happy (I mean, how could you be working out and dieting all the time??).

With all this being said, we ended up placing Folsom Tap House on our rejection list. For those of you who would like to try their happy hour or maybe need some dieting or workout tips, go check them out!
